Believe it or not, people in Sasebo enjoy barbecue in February in the middle of winter! Because “Kujukushima Oyster Festival -Winter Edition” will be held from February 1st at the Kujukushima Pearl Sea Resort!
It takes place every Saturday, Sunday, and Japanese holiday of February. At this event, we grill Kujukushima oysters and seafoods over charcoal fire and eat them with our friends and family. Our local oysters are chewy and creamy. The flavor of the meat will spread in your mouth!
You can buy a set of gloves and a knife, also charcoals there. So just bring yourself, and enjoy this winter delicacy with a Japanese BBQ style!
Date: Feb 1st to March 1st
on Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese holidays
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Place: lawn open space at Kujukushima Pearl Sea Resort
Rate: Oyster 1 kg 800 yen,

ことしの開催日は２月 １日 ～３月１日までの土、日、祝日の合計12日間です。九十九島かきはプリップリでクリーミー！ 口の中で旨みがじわ～っと広がります。軍手・カキ開けナイフセットや木炭も買えるので、手ぶらでＧＯ！ 冬の味覚を楽しみましょう。

殻付き生カキ約１キロ800円、木炭約１キロ250円、

プリップリは日本独自の味覚の表現で、ピタリとくる用語はありませんが、今回は”chewy (もちもちした）” を使いました。 chewy は、うどんのコシ、キャンディ類、もっちり系パンなどの噛み応えのある食べ物全般に使われます。
