8-10, Katsutomi-cho, Sasebo [MAP]
Katsutomi-cho area was a brothel town in early 1900s. This old area still has some buildings from the era, and Shouchikuso is one of such valuable historic remains. The inn later became a ryoutei (high-class restaurant) but is currently a private building, so make sure to slide open the door and ask for permission for photos.
