A Workshop by Juzan（寿山), a creative calligrapher, will be held on Sunday, January 19 at Kukken Hiroba. You can try the Japanese traditional “First Writing of the Year (Kakizome)” on a postcard, a shiki-shi (message board) , or a calendar. In Kakizome, we often write our new year’s resolution or auspicious characters or phrases. Let’s write Japanese words to create your own calligraphy art.
Kids and moms with small kids are welcome ! The participation fee is affordable. Kakizome on a post cart is 1000 yen, a shiki-shi is 1500 yen, and a calendar is 2000 yen. One drink is included. You can drop-in anytime from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. but reservation is preferred. Send an email to kens_healing_room@yahoo.com. And let them know your available time.
