It’s that time of year again, everyone! We hope you have already made some New Year’s resolutions. But the most important thing is to make them successful. In Japan, choosing a starting day has been considered to be important to pray a successful future when we start new things. We show 2 kinds of lucky days in the Japanese calendar: Ichi-ryuu-man bai bi (一粒万倍日）and tensha-bi（天赦日). And in 2023, there are only 3 days that these two come together. The days can be said the luckiest days in 2023.
１．What is Ichi-ryuu-man-bai bi(一粒万倍日）？
The meaning of ichi-ryuu-man-bai day is that you can get hundreds of times harvest from a grain of seed. So it’s believed many benefits are received from very little. It’s a good day to start a business, have your new car delivered, buy or start using a new wallet, buy a lottery ticket and so on. But don’t do bad things or get into debt since you may have to pay the original price hundreds of times over!

2. What is Tensha-bi (天赦日 )?
Tensha-bi is the day that the god will forgive all sins. It says It’s the most auspicious day for any activities such as starting new things in general, marriage, house-moving and travel. Tensha-bi is rare. There are only 5 days in 2023!

January 6, March 21, and August 4 are both Ichi-ryuu-man-bai bi and Tensha-bi. So, those three days are the luckiest days in 2023. More fortune and more benefits can be anticipated. If you miss the 3 days, other Ichi-ryuu-man bai bi or tensha-bi are still effective to set as a starting day. January 6 is approaching. Let’s make a plan and start new things.
