Emukae Sentourou (Thousand Lantern) Festival will start tomorrow! A 25-meter-high tower decorated with about 3,300 of lanterns is too gorgeous to miss. The annual festival which has about 500 year of history will be held on Friday and Saturday. The renowned fireworks will take place on both days!
Also, don’t miss Taiko drum parade from 18:00 to 18:35 18:30 to 19:30 and the stage performance from 19: 10 to 19: 50 on Friday. Nine American students from DODEA Sasebo Elementary School, and Junior High School will join and play taiko drum with local people. Here is the map to the festival site. In case of rain, the festival will be postponed till the first fine day.

江迎千灯籠まつりが8月23日(金)と24日(土)に開催されます(雨天順延)。23日には、米軍基地内小中学校の生徒さん9名が、 地元小中学生の皆さんと共に 太鼓演奏のパレードに参加されるそうですよ。
約3300個の灯籠で飾られた高さ約25mのタワーと見逃せません!名物の花火は両日開催。
