九州・長崎県の「鬼火焚き」

「鬼火焚き」を知っていますか？九州地方で1月7日に行われる伝統行事です。
下記の写真は長崎県東彼杵郡川棚町のもの。
竹を高く積み上げてやぐらを作り、火をつけます。竹がパチパチとはぜるたびに「鬼の骨（おんのほね）」と叫び、邪気を追い払うそうです。
火で餅を焼き、食べると無病息災も祈願できるのだそう。
鬼火焚き、Eチャンチームは初めて聞きました！！生で見たらすごい迫力でしょうね！！！

Onibi-daki, or “demon burning”, is a traditional event held on January 7th in the Kyushu region.
The photo is from Kawatana-cho, about 30 min drive from central Sasebo.
Bamboos are piled up into a tower and fire is lit to make a huge bonfire. Every time the bamboo crackles, you shout “On no Hone (demon’s bone)” to drive away evil spirits.
Mochi is baked over the fire and is eaten to pray for good health.
It was our first time to hear about this demon-slaying-fire! It would be amazing to see it live one day🔥
